Book Recommendations

A) Racing in the Street: The Bruce Springsteen Reader Once I pick it up, I cannot put this one down. It's a must if you're a Springsteen fan.

And now, from the sublime to the ridiculous:

B) Don't Hassel the Hoff Is this guy in on the joke or not? (You know, sorta like Shatner, who I've concluded definitely is.)

This memoir/autobiography suggests not, as do the drunk tapes that surfaced during his custody trial. But his appearance in the SpongeBob movie had me thinking he gets it.

And he won the custody hearing. Make of that what you will.

I'll be darned if I know. (I just gave the book to friends as an archetypal "bathroom reading" book.)

I've been a Springsteen fan since I was old enough to croon Bruuuuuuuuuce. (Mystifying my parents, who never owned anything Springsteen in their lives) Great reccomendation!

Thanks for an excuse for me to go to Borders.

Bruce has been one of favs since he first climbed on stage with that guitar in his hands many years ago. From the beginning I said that guy is gonna be around for a long time....and not just because he was a cutiepatutee. Now I am sitting here with Born In the USA running thru my head.

I have a whole new respect for Shatner after becoming hooked on Boston Legal. What a pair...James Spader and Willie Shatner.

As for the Hoff....hmmmm yep, maybe bathroom reading. If he is not careful his "career", will end up IN the toilet.

The Hoff is one of the new Shatners along with that red headed guy on CSI Miami.

I might have to check out the Springsteen book, he is an interesting character.

The Hoff is off his rocker.. his career isn't what it use to be now that Boobwatch is done...

Shatner is always, year after year, "the new Shatner". Otherwise, the Hoff would be the new Shatner.

The HOFF still have more money than all of these bitter bloggers combined.

DO NOT HASSEL THE HOFF

The Hoff is hilarious. The thing about Shatner, is that he knows he's a joke and seems to embrace it.

MJB: Sometimes it looks just that way

mielikki: Thanks. My college graduation present to myself was to see Bruce 4 times in a month. (Twice in DC, once in Philly and the last night of a ten night stand at the Meadowlands.)

Moonbeam: Borders is a special weakness of mine. Barnes and Noble is cool too, but there's something specialer about Borders.

e-e: David Caruso? OK, I can see that.

You're right, Springsteen IS an interesting character, and the book bears that out.

bb, dmarks, A1: See MJB above.

Churl: Yup that's exactly what's great about Shatner.

If you want a really great way to whittle away time, go to waxhoff.com. You can wax his chest hair and hear him make snarky comments in return. And yes, i do have better things to do with my time. But no, i choose to virtually wax david hasselhoff's chest hair instead. so sue me!

Envy, I have sooo much Envy right now. I keep telling myself to just chuck it all, and go see him anywhere. But especially the Meadowlands. Even if I go by myself, because no one else I know out here are fans of his. If I ever run away from home, that's where I'll be!
